Dr. Sandeep Kumar is a distinguished surgeon, breast specialist, and surgical oncologist with over four decades of medical experience. He is a former Professor of Surgery at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, and the Founding Director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal.
He has published over 150 research papers, contributed chapters to medical textbooks, and received an award from the National Academy of Medical Sciences, India. He has also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Surgery and the South Asian Journal of Geriatric Medicine, Surgery, Palliative Care and Hospice.
Beyond clinical practice and research, he has helped establish a hospice and a free school for underprivileged children. Through his books and YouTube channel, Swasthya Ki Pathshala, he works to make medical knowledge accessible to the public.
